England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes has returned to the playing XI as England announced their playing XI for the second Test against Pakistan, starting October 15 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. Stokes, who has been out of action since early August due to a hamstring injury, will once again lead the side.

The England skipper showed fans his fitness when he bowled at full pace in practice on Sunday. On October 14, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed his return, announcing that Stokes has fully recovered and will captain the team for this crucial match.

Stokes missed England’s last four Test matches, including the entire series against Sri Lanka and the first Test victory over Pakistan. Although sidelined, he still supported the team by bringing out drinks during the opening game of the series. Now, with the injury behind him, he’s ready to make an impact both as a player and captain.

In addition to Ben Stokes, Matthew Potts, the talented seamer from Durham, also makes a return to the playing XI. Potts last played in the Lord’s Test against Sri Lanka

As a result, England have made two changes for the upcoming match, resting seamers Gus Atkinson and Chris Woakes.
