The high-octane Women's T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan started off with some exciting action at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first, but India grabbed two wickets in the Powerplay to set the ball rolling. Their fielding and bowling were top-notch in that phase, but just after the Powerplay, Asha Sobhana, the Indian leg spinner, dropped an easy catch of Muneeba Ali to leave Indian and even Pakistan fans absolutely stunned.

Even the Pakistan players were shocked by the drop catch, and Aliya Riaz, the experienced all-rounder's golden reaction after the blunder from the Indian spinner, is grabbing plenty of eyeballs. It was the second delivery of the seventh over, and Arundhati Reddy bowled a full delivery, outside off. Muneeba Ali, the left-hander went across and tried to scoop it over the short fine leg fielder. However, she ended up hitting it straight to Asha Sobhana. The Indian spinner though made a big mess of it and dropped a straight forward catch.

Regular Strikes Restrict Pakistan To Below-Par Total

Arundhati Reddy naturally was disappointed with the effort and so were other Indian players while Pakistan camp were pleasantly surprised. However, India got the wicket of other batter Omaima Sohail in the same over and Muneeba Ali also could not last long as Shreyanka Patil got the better of her in the 10th over of the match.

The Indian bowlers kept taking wickets thrioughout the innings and it was only because of Nida Dar's efforts that Pakistan could cross 100-run mark.
