On Sunday, October 6, India will face Bangladesh for the first of three match T20I series at the Gwalior International Stadium. The BCCI has named a young and fresh-looking Indian side as the Men in Blue are without veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who retired from the shortest format after the T20 World Cup triumph.

This article will look back at what happened the last time these two countries locked horns against each other in T20Is.

What Happened When India Last Faced Bangladesh?

The last time these two countries squared off was during the T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight stage, where the Men in Blue handed The Tigers a 50-run defeat.

India faced Bangladesh on June 22 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, where The Tigers won the toss and invited India to bat first. The top order, which featured Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant, got a good start, but they failed to convert it to a big total, and India lost wickets at regular intervals.

Hardik Pandya stole the show as he stitched a fifty. Pandya scored 50 (27), which featured four fours and three sixes. The MI skipper's knock helped India post 196/5 on the board. In reply, The Tigers were restricted to 146 as skipper Najmul Shanto was the sole performer and stitched 40 (32).

Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for his three-wicket haul, while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh picked two wickets each.
