Sarfaraz Khan has translated his brilliant batting form in domestic cricket to the international arena, scoring a dazzling hundred against New Zealand in the first Test at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

In the first Test against New Zealand, the young Indian batter, Sarfaraz Khan, not only scored a Hundred under pressure in the second innings of the match but also displayed a positive intent and aggressive batting approach that put the visitors on the back foot. This performance, a testament to his potential, could spark significant interest from IPL teams, adding an exciting element to the upcoming auctions. 

Sarfaraz Khan's innings ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction will determine his bid for the event. Notably, Sarfaraz has played in the IPL, playing for Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Royals Challengers Bengaluru. In 50 IPL matches, the 26-year-old batter has scored 585 runs at an average of 22.50 and a strike rate of 130.58.

3. Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals have suffered in the absence of a dynamic middle-order batter. Sarfaraz Khan might fill the spot for the team. Besides, Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan had a good understanding while batting for India during the first Test against New Zealand. The duo can revive their partnership for the franchise and provide solidity and dynamism to the DC middle order. Sarfaraz has also played for the Delhi Capitals. In 10 matches he played for them, Sarfaraz scored 144 runs at an average of 20.57 and a strike rate of 111.63.

2. Mumbai Indians

While Mumbai Indians have been one of the most successful teams in IPL history, they have not won the title after 2020. One of the main reasons behind the team's recent failure has been the absence of dynamism in the middle order. Sarfaraz Khan's unique playing style and his familiarity with the Wankhede pitch, being a Mumbai player, could make him an excellent fit for the MI batting line-up.
