On Tuesday, Pakistan will cross swords against England in the second Test of the ongoing three-match series. The much-awaited encounter will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan, Pakistan.

Led by Shan Masood, Pakistan had a disastrous start to the series, losing the first match by an innings and 47 runs. Despite posting a mammoth 556-run total in their first innings, the hosts followed it up with a horrendous bowling performance before being bowled out for 220 runs in their second innings. Their abysmal outing in the series opener forced the PCB to drop several well-established names, including Babar Azam

Meanwhile, England are high on confidence following their clinical win in the first Test. As if they weren't formidable enough, the return of Ben Stokes has further strengthened their lineup. While the legendary Joe Root will once again be England's wrecker-in-chief with the bat, all eyes will be on Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett and Harry Brook, who can thrash the hosts with their incredible power-hitting.

As the stage is set for a cracking face-off, let's see how the surface at Multan Cricket Stadium will behave throughout the contest.

Multan Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

According to emerging reports, the pitch from the first match will be reused for the second Test in Multan. If this happens, the surface might deteriorate faster, with the spinners playing a significant role in the penultimate clash.

While the seam movement will be marginal, the pacers might get a hint of reverse swing with the old ball. Also, as it will be a used pitch, an oddball might stay low, with the track's uneven bounce playing in the batters' minds from the third day onwards.

Thus, if the same pitch is reused, batting will become trickier as the game progresses. In such a scenario, expect the toss-winning side to bat first and put runs on the board.
