Guyana Amazon Warriors and the St. Lucia Kings are set to face off in the summit clash of the CPL 2024. This match will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on October 7 at 4:30 AM IST. 

While the Guyana Amazon Warriors will be looking to defend their title, the St. Lucia Kings will be eager to win the match and become the champions for the first time. 

Journey so far: Guyana Amazon Warriors

The Guyana Amazon Warriors have been one of the most consistent teams in the tournament's history. This will be their seventh final, and the Imran Tahir-led side will be going out to defend their title. 

The Warriors have also maintained their consistency in this edition of the tournament. They won seven of their ten league stage games and, courtesy of the best net run rate, finished at the top of the table. Though they lost Qualifier 1 against the St. Lucia Kings, the Warriors quickly got back on track and defeated the Barbados Royals in Qualifier 2 to book their berth in the summit clash of the tournament.

The Warriors will be looking to avenge the defeat in Qualifier 1 and win the CPL for the second consecutive time. 

Journey so far: St. Lucia Kings

The St. Lucia Kings are playing their second final. The Faf du Plessis-led side will look to turn the table in 2021 and finish on the winning side this year. 

Much like their opponents for the game, the Kings also won seven of their ten matches in the tournament. However, they finished second, owing to a worse net run rate than the Warriors. However, du Plessis and his men managed to defeat the Warriors in the Qualifier and became the first team to book tickets for the grand finale. 

The St. Lucia Kings will be eager to repeat their antics from Qualifier 1 and claim the coveted trophy for the first time. 

How will the Providence Stadium's Pitch behave?

Two different strips have been used at the Providence stadium for this tournament. While on one wicket, the batters enjoyed their stay and played shots freely, on the other, they struggled to score runs at a good rate. Moreover, one track has been good for batting in the first innings, while the other has been more suitable for the batters in the chase.
