In the 15th match of LLC 2024, the Manipal Tigers faced off against the Gujarat Greats. Notably, Shikhar Dhawan is leading the Gujarat Greats, while Harbhajan Singh is captaining the Manipal Tigers. 

In this match, the Greats won the toss and opted to bat first. Their batters' effort was not highly entertaining, as they struggled to play their shots freely on a slowish wicket. Mohammed Kaif emerged as the highest scorer for the Giants with a slowish 40-ball 34. 

S Sreesanth turned the clock back with a straight six against Dan Christian

However, one particular moment during the innings got the fans cheering. In the 19th over, S Sreesanth slammed a straight six against Dan Christian. It was the fourth ball of the over. Christian bowled a full delivery outside the off stump. The former Indian pacer cleared his front leg and slammed the ball straight over the long-on fence for a maximum. 

During his playing days, S Sreesanth was known for his antics on the field. This six by him reminded the fans of one such on-field moment of the pacer. In 2006, during a Test match in South Africa, Sreesanth slammed a straight six against Andre Nel. After hitting the shot, he celebrated by waving his bat in 'rodeo style'.


Manipal Tigers won the game

Coming back to the game, the Manipal Tigers also struggled with the bat while chasing. However, Thisara Perera's cameo of 38 runs from 22 deliveries ensured that the Harbhajan Singh-led side won the game by five wickets with three overs remaining.
