The matches are coming thick and fast in the Women's T20 World Cup matches as the race to the semi-finale heats up between the teams. The 14th match of the tournament will feature the defending champions, Australia up against Pakistan side at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

So far, Australia have played two matches in the competition and have been victorious in both. They thrashed Sri Lanka in a one-sided contest and followed it up with another ruthless win against rivals, New Zealand. The Australian side are the favourites for the tournament and will fancy their chances against a struggling Pakistan team.

Talking about Pakistan, they started the World Cup with a massive win over Sri Lanka, but in their next game against arch-rivals India, Pakistan lost a close-fought contest and need to win their remaining two matches to stand a chance of qualifying for the semis.

However, the Dubai surface will also play a big part in ensuring the winner of this Australia-Pakistan contest on Friday.

AUS-W Vs PAK-W, Dubai cricket stadium pitch report

The pitch has behaved differently in afternoon and evening matches. In the afternoon matches, it has been observed that the ball doesn't come onto the bat properly, and teams struggled to score freely. However, things change in evening matches.

As witnessed in numerous evening games, batting isn't the most easiest tasks, but the pitch still behaves better as compared to afternoon matches, and teams are able to score in excess of 150, as shown by India against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

However, batting becomes tough during the second innings under lights, and it was evident when India faced-off against New Zealand and lost the match by 58 runs. The conditions will help the spinners, mainly due to the slowness of the surface. The toss winning captain will ideally like to bat first and put runs on the board.
