As the fans are enjoying some unmissable encounters, the KKR fans are going through a tough time as the team is struggling with their poor form. Their latest heartbreak came last night as the Kolkata Knight Riders faced another humiliating defeat against the Gujarat Titans.

While facing Shubman Gill and Co., batting struggles resurface as a major challenge for KKR again. With the lineup under scrutiny, mentor Dwayne Bravo is urging the team to focus on finding the perfect combination to turn the tide.

The Problem Lies In Finding The Perfect Combination

Since the season began, the defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders have been struggling with their batting performance. Even the bowlers are putting on significant efforts, batting lineup is pushing away the victories. In the last match against the Gujarat Titans, that has been proven again.

Chasing the 199 runs, KKR batters crumbled under pressure. Unable to fight back, their batting combination became a major worry. Reflecting on the issue, Dwayne Bravo emphasized the need to find a strong, balanced batting lineup for a major turnaround.

“It’s a concern. Definitely, those are things that are discussed. You always try to bug the players who have been there and done it before. There is a fine line between bugging a player and trying to come up with the best combination. We can also try to make some changes, necessary adjustments to give the team that spot that is missing,” Bravo said.

Are They Under-Confident?

The last season was a dream for the Kolkata Knight Riders as they claimed the glorious title for the third time. But the ongoing season has become a nightmare as they are struggling with their form. In the last match, Gurbaz walked away scoring only one run, and even Narine walked away scoring only 17 runs.

Even after captain Rahane scored a half-century, Venkatesh Iyer’s form remained a headache for the team. Big hitters like Andre Russell and Rinku Singh couldn’t bring their usual fireworks either. According to Dwayne Bravo, the KKR batters are falling short when it comes to execution.

“But the guys are preparing well and practising well. It’s just not working out in the middle,” he said.

After the last defeat on their home ground, KKR’s woes deepened. With five defeats and three victories, they are standing in the 7th position of the points table with 6 points. As pressure mounts, their upcoming clash against Punjab Kings has turned into a must-win battle to revive their campaign.
