'Absolute Rubbish': CSK Physio Reacts To Harbhajan's Claims Of Dhoni 'Breaking TV'

MS Dhoni, known for his calm demeanor both on and off the field, apparently vented out his anger at a television set earlier this year during the IPL 2024 season. As per a reputed Indian journalist, Harbhajan Singh reportedly disclosed the same to him by claiming that the incident occurred after CSK lost a high-scoring thriller to RCB during the closing stages of the tournament.

While Harbhajan himself has not been seen divulging details of the unruly incident, his claims were recently rubbished by CSK’s Head Physiotherapist Tommy Simsek.

CSK physio rubbishes claim of MS Dhoni’s aggression

Under the comments section of an Instagram post headlining Harbhajan Singh’s apparent claims on MS Dhoni, CSK Head Physio Therapist Tommy Simsek rubbished the same by claiming that he has never seen the wicketkeeper-batter being aggressive. He wrote:

“This is absolute Rubbish! MSD did not break anything and I have never seen him aggressive. Fake news!”

The match that apparently caused MS Dhoni to lose his cool was the 68th of the IPL 2024 season, played out at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 18. With a spot in the playoffs on the line, the CSK batting line-up was chasing 219 for an outright win and 201 runs for a top four finish.

The ‘Yellow Brigade’ failed to chase down either of the two totals to crash out of the competition. Dhoni himself clobbered 25 runs from 13 balls before he was dismissed by Yash Dayal. Interestingly, after the match, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter also did not shake hands with any of the victorious RCB players.

MS Dhoni, aged 43, will likely be seen reprising his role for the CSK franchise in IPL 2025, albeit as an ‘uncapped cricketer’ owing to IPL’s revised regulations. The CSK franchise will be expected to make some crucial retention announcements in the coming weeks.
