Rain has played massive part in the third Test match between India and Australia, and it has arrived again on the penultimate day of the Test with India five down for 105 in the 31st over. Rain forced early stumps on day 3 and on the first day, only 13.2 overs were bowled due to incessant showers.
There are chances of short bursts of rain throughout day 4, with around 60 percent chance of precipitation. However, they are all passing showers and with great drainage system in place, we can expect the game to start in quick time once the rain stops at Gabba.
The temperature will hover around late 20s, but the players would have to find a way to deal with unexpected short rain breaks. So, this could be a curtailed day once again, but there has been spells of sunshine too, so it would be another on and off day for fans and cricketers and it could spoil the rhythm and concentration of players.
Chances Of Rain Less In The Final Session Of Day 4
Also, the chances of precipitation goes down under 50 percent in the final session, so chances of early stumps like Day 3 are rare, but there could be interruptions in the afternoon session.
India are currently on the backfoot in the Gabba Test, with half of the side back to the pavilion. KL Rahul is batting well, but he needs support from other batters and it would be interesting how team India tackle Aussie might with conditions getting tougher at Gabba.
