Brief Scores | West Indies: 176-7 (20 overs) [Brandon King 82* (52), Rovman Powell 50 (28); Adil Rashid 2/11 (4), Tymal Mills 2-30 (4)] defeated England: 166-7 (20 overs) [Sam Curran 50(32), Philip Salt 25 (23); Alzarri Joseph 3/39 (4), Akeal Hosein 2/24 (4)] by 10 runs.

The second T20I between hosts West Indies and visitors England produced a riveting encounter, where Rovman Powell and Co. prevailed by 10 runs at Grenada and thus took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Brandon King and Rowman Powell Steer West Indies To 166

Asked to bat first, West Indies found a brisk start from their openers before Chris Woakes snarred Kyle Mayers for 17, triggering a collapse.

Spinners Adil Rashid and Rehan Ahmed rattled the Windies middle-order, taking wickets of Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, and Shai Hope, pinning the home side down on 54 for 4.

The consolidation happened between opener Brandon King and skipper Powell, who added 80 runs for the fifth wicket. Powell, in particular, played a leader's knock, slamming a 28-ball 50, which included 28 runs off Sam Curran's 30-run over.

Curran, however, did have the final laugh getting Powell's wicket.

King, who slammed his eighth T20I fifty, took charge and smoked young Ahmed for 18 runs. A few lusty blows from Andre Russell (14) helped West Indies reach 176, as King remained unbeaten on 82*.

Alazzri Joseph's Three-For Down England Despite Sam Curran's Best Efforts

In reply, England had a decent start despite the fall of Jos Buttler's wicket, which Akeal Hosein claimed. Both Philip Salt and Will Jacks stitched a quick-fire 46-run second wicket stand before spinner Alzarri Joseph claimed his first of the night, getting the former for 25.

Joseph nabbed Jacks for 24, adding pressure back on the Windies.

All-rounders Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone did try to consolidate, but Gudakesh Motie broke their promising stand, removing the latter for 17. Harry Brook had a poor outing, falling for just five against Hosein.

Undeterred Curran kept England in the hunt and slammed his maiden T20I fifty. Joseph brought West Indies into the match, picking up Curran's wicket to claim a solid three-wicket haul.

Moeen Ali and Ahmed did manage to score quick runs, but the target seemed quite unachievable with 28 needed off the last over. Ali and Ahmed remained not out on 22* and 10*, respectively, as England lost their second consecutive match of the series by 10 runs.
