Coming to bowl his first match of the World Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami made a significant impact for India during their high-voltage match against New Zealand in Dharamsala. The veteran pacer returned excellent figures of 10-0-54-5 to help his side knock over the Black Caps for 273 in 50 overs after Rohit Sharma asked them to bat first.

Among them, the moment in which Shami sent Mitchell Santner's stumps cartwheeling caught a lot of attention.

It was a perfect yorker by Shami which came during the 48th over of New Zealand’s innings against Santner. The Kiwi all-rounder, batting on 1 off 2 deliveries, did not have a chance to defend it before the off stump went flying.

Shami was so pumped up after the dismissal, and so was Virat Kohli. The talismanic batsman brought an ultra-aggressive celebration to bring joy to the spectators, and needless to say, the moment went viral in no time.

Along with Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah were the other wicket-takers for the Men in Blue, whereas Ravindra Jadeja conceded 48 runs off his 10 overs, but failed to take a wicket.
