Sarfaraz Khan scored a fantastic unbeaten double century in the first innings of the Irani Trophy clash between Mumbai and Rest of India. It helped Mumbai get a massive lead as Rest of India were bowled out for 416 in reply to Mumbai's 537. However, in the second innings' Rest of India's bowlers have made a strong comeback and Saransh Jain got the better of in-form Sarfaraz early on Day 5 to get to his five-wicket haul.

The middle order batter scored 17 off 36 balls and Mumbai needed him to score some crucial runs to put ROI out of the game. However, Saransh Jain with his clever off-break outfoxed Sarafraz and provided an important breakthrough. It was the third delivery of the 43rd over and Saransh bowled it touch shorter on middle from 'round the wicket. Sarfaraz went back to work it towards the leg side, but missed it and the ball hit him straight on the pads. A big appeal followed, but the umpire did not respond positively.

Saransh Jain Impresses In A High-Profile Clash

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the skipper of Rest of India decide to challenge the decision and the DRS worked wonders for ROI. The Ball Tracking showed three Reds and the umpire had to reverse his decision and Saransh Jain bagged a memorable five-wicket haul.

After the wicket of Sarfaraz Khan, Shardul Thakur was also outfoxed by Saransh Jain and Rest of India have given themselves a glimmer of hope of winning the game after giving away first innings lead.
