The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 attracted a star-studded lineup of celebrities from the world of sports, film, and entertainment. Among the notable figures in attendance were Indian cricket superstar Rohit Sharma, legendary footballers Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho, and Bollywood actress Disha Patani.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma wrapped up a successful whitewash victory over Bangladesh in the two-game Test series held recently. Rohit’s intent and belief brought life to a dead-end game in Kanpur that saw two days getting washed due to heavy rain and poor drainage.

Rohit Sharma kicks off a new venture in Karjat

With the conclusion of the bilateral series, Rohit Sharma shifted his focus to a significant personal project. On Thursday, he launched his new cricket academy in Rashin, Karjat, located in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. 

MCA president Rohit Pawar attended the launch, which was met with enthusiastic applause as Sharma addressed the crowd. In a viral moment from the event, Rohit Sharma took time out of the celebrations to pay his respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
