Rohit Sharma has been in great form in 2023 World Cup and came into the game against Sri Lanka with high hopes, hoping to make a big impact on his home ground, Wankhede Stadium. He started the game with a boundary off the first delivery but was then cleaned up by brilliant Dilshan Madushanka with an absolute peach of a delivery.

It was one of the best deliveries of the tournament so far from the bowler who has been Sri Lanka's biggest asset with the new ball. He has got many big batters with his classical swinging deliveries. They were mainly inswingers but this time at Wankhede, he bowled a beautiful outswinger to Rohit that completely bamboozled Indian skipper.

Talking about the delivery, it was a good-length delivery, pitched on middle and Rohit anticipating that the ball will swung in as it did on the first ball, tried to defend it inside the line. However, the ball swung away a bit and went across Rohit Sharma to send his off stump for a ride.

It is a big blow to India as Rohit has played a big role in giving India a good start and on the flat deck at Wankhede, other batters need to step up and take India to a big score.
