[Watch] Marco Jansen's Deadly Bouncer Sends Rachin Ravindra Packing

Rachin Ravindra has been a big positive for New Zealand in World Cup 2023 and his classy batting has caught the imagination of fans around the world. He has already smashed two centuries in this World Cup and New Zealand needed him to get another big one against the Proteas as they try to chase down a target of 358 at Pune. However, the young batter failed to live upto the expectations and departed on 9 off 16 balls.

Marco Jansen was the one who got the better of Rachin Ravindra and continued his good form with two big wickets upfront.

It was the final delivery of the 9th over and Marco Jansen decided to take Rachin Ravindra with a short delivery after the batter earlier hit a glorious boundary towards the off side. The bouncer was well-directed on middle and leg stump line and Ravindra pulled it. However, he got a top edge and the ball sailed straight into the hands of Gerald Coetzee who took the catch comfortably, putting New Zealand in early trouble.

Coetzee himself got the wicket of Will Young later and at the time of writing, South Africa are 64-3 in the 14th over.
