Regarded as one of the finest new-ball operators from Pakistan, Mohammad Amir had a disastrous start to the CPL 2023, as he went wicketless, conceding 47 runs in his four-over spell. Opening the bowling alongside national teammate Imad Wasim for Jamaica Tallawahs, Amir failed to make his mark in the game, being smashed all around the park by St Lucia Kings' batters. However, the most forgettable moment for the Pakistani speedster was a huge six from Roshon Primus, who dispatched his short ball in the deep mid-wicket stand.

The incident happened in the 17th over when St Lucia Kings were reeling at 125 for five while chasing a challenging target of 188 runs. Amir already had a poor show to begin with. So, the Tallawahs' skipper Brandon King brought him back to bowl at the Windies youngster and regain confidence.

However, the decision proved to be a nightmare for the fast bowler, as Primus deposited his slow short ball in the stands with utter disdain.
