India got off to a dream start against Australia on Friday (September 22) in the first ODI of the three-match series in Mohali. The Men in Blue, after asking Australia to bat, got rid of the dangerous Mitchell Marsh, who was in excellent touch lately in South Africa.

Mohammed Shami drew the first blood, dismissing the Australian all-rounder as early as on the fourth ball of the day. Marsh began aggresively, smashing Shami's second delivery through point for four runs.

However, the Indian seamer, who got the opportunity because of Mohammed Siraj's rest, got the big fish soon after. He bowled a beautiful delivery pitched at the length region outside off stump, which Marsh tried to tackle it with a frontfoot defence only to be bamboozled.

The ball got the edge of Marsh's bat before went straight to Shubman Gill at first slip. In the process, Marsh departed cheaply after a paltry run-a-ball 4.

Considering both India and Australia have too many options to choose from ahead of the much-anticapted ODI World Cup, each and every individual is aware of how important to perform in this series.

Therefore, Shami striking early, that too of the dismissal of Mitchell Marsh, was a 'good headache' for the Men in Blue.

At the time of writing, Australia are struggling on 9/1 in 3 overs, with Steve Smith and David Warner in the middle, on 1* and 0* respectively.
