Experienced Indian batter Sanju Samson had a forgettable outing with the bat, as he was dismissed cheaply in the ongoing second T20 International match against Bangladesh at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Opening the batting for India, Samson managed only ten runs before Taskin Ahmed got his prized scalp.

The incident occurred during the second over of India's innings after Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. Sanju Samson, who struck a glorious cameo the other hand, had a great start to his innings, cracking to beautiful boundaries off Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

However, the Kerala batter failed to convert his start into a significant score, throwing away his wicket with an ordinary shot. Bowling the first over of his spell, ace Bangladesh speedster Taskin Ahmed kept the Indian batters quiet, frustrating them with his accuracy.

Taskin conceded three runs off his first five balls, so Samson decided to conclude the over on a high note. So, as the right-arm pacer ran in and bowled a back-of-the-length delivery, Samson made room for himself and tried to punch the ball through the covers.

However, he was deceived by Taskin's clever slow ball, hitting it straight to mid-off, where skipper Shanto took a simple catch. Thus, Samson, who was expected to run riot on Delhi's flat batting surface, departed without contributing much to the scoreboard. India's head coach Gautam Gambhir wasn't quite pleased with how he got out, instantly expressing his disappointment.

After Samson's departure, his opening partner Abhishek Sharma was castled by Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Following the southpaw's dismissal, young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy joined captain Suryakumar Yadav in the middle. At the time of writing, India were in a spot of bother, placed at 36 for two in 4.5 overs.
