West Indies Women's premier all-rounder Deandra Dottin showcased her incredible bowling attributes, dismantling New Zealand Women with a sensational spell in the T20 World Cup semifinal at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. After getting Amelia Kerr's prized scalp, the medium pacer dismissed Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green and Rosemary Mair, triggering the White Ferns' collapse in the all-important affair.

Although Deandra Dottin scalped four wickets to leave New Zealand Women in tatters, her magnificent yorker to get Brooke Halliday grabbed the maximum limelight. New Zealand's swashbuckling left-hander Halliday had raced to eighteen runs off just eight deliveries. However, Dottin's timely strike sent her packing and brought West Indies right back into the contest.

The incident occurred during the 15th over of New Zealand Women's innings when Halliday was swiftly shifting gears and trying to ensure a fitting finish for her side alongside skipper Sophie Devine. However, Dottin had other ideas, as she castled the southpaw with an inch-perfect yorker.

From over the wicket, Dottin surprised Halliday with a yorker, as the batter got beaten on the outside-edge while trying to guide the ball through the third-man. As a result, the ball went on to shatter her off stump, leaving her shell-shocked in the high-voltage match.

Dottin Bags Four Wickets As West Indies Restrict New Zealand To 128

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, New Zealand Women had a cautious start, with Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer adding 48 runs for the opening wicket. However, after Bates threw away her wicket with a needless shot, West Indies made a remarkable fightback, courtesy of Deandra Dottin's four-wicket haul. As a result, the White Ferns could post only 128 on the board. They need their bowlers to punch above their weight in order to qualify for the final against the odds.
