Punjab Kings' Ultra-Aggressive Approach Backfires Against KKR
Punjab Kings getting all-out for 111 was majorly due to their reckless batting approach. Their skipper, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first on a good batting deck. The openers started off well with the score reading 39-0 in the fourth over. However, Harshit Rana removed both Priyansh Arya and Shreyas in that over and Punjab just kept crumbling after that.
Harshit Rana picked three wickets, as he removed other set batter Prabhsimran Singh too while the spin duo of Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine grabbed four wickets between them. Punjab batters kept going for their shots, despite wickets falling, and eventually were cleaned up for just 111 under 16 overs.
