After comfortably defeating Bangladesh in the two-match Test series, Team India have a fresh challenge ahead of them in the form of New Zealand. The first Test match between the two sides will take place at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In recent times, India and New Zealand have been on a different trajectory all-together. While the Indian side under Rohit Sharma are flying-high and are at the top of the WTC points table, New Zealand cricket has witnessed captaincy changes, and recently lost a series against Sri Lanka.

The Test series provides a great chance for the Indian team to clean sweep the Kiwis and further strengthen their position in the points table. However, it seems the rain god is once again in the opposite team as the Bengaluru weather is not at all promising for the next 5 days.

IND Vs NZ, Bengaluru weather: Will rain spoil India's party?

The Kanpur Test almost played the spoilsport for India as rain ruined the first two days and the poor drainage system led to the fact that India only had 1.5 days to win the Test match.

Don't be surprised if Team India face a similar scenario here in Bengaluru. As per the Meteorological Department, there is rain predicted for the entire week, with 70 to 90% chance of rain in the first two days of the match. Moreover, there id Yellow alert issued in the entire Karnataka as the Test match hangs in jeopardy.

On Monday, it was raining heavily and India's practice session was halted. The entire pitch has been under cover since Monday, and there could be a delayed start on the morning of the Bengaluru Test match.

However, the only good news is that Bengaluru Stadium has one of the best drainage systems in the world, and can soak up the entire water within minutes.
