The Kolkata Knight Riders made a statement aganst the Punjab Kings in the ongoing IPL 2025 match. The defending champions were at their best with the ball as they bundled out the Punjab Kings for a paltry 111 and will get a special reward if they manage to chase the target inside 14.1 overs.

However, in their last match they thrashed CSK in a one-sided battle which improved their net run-rate massively, and if they again win in a one-sided chase inside 14.1 overs, the net run-rate will skyrocket and will put KKR on the top.

Punjab Kings won the toss and Shreyas Iyer elected to bat first and the decision backfired as despite a solid start, PBKS lost a flurry of wickets. Skipper Shreyas, himself departed for a 2-ball duck as the team crumbled under pressure.
