India Women decimated Pakistan by 88 runs in the sixth match of the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup on Sunday, October 5. Defending 248 runs for a win, India bowlers Kranti Goud and Deepti Sharma enveloped the entire Pakistani batting line-up for just 159 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Notably, the win also yielded a significant landmark figure for Indian captain and charismatic top-order batter Harmanpreet Kaur, who overtook Australia's champion cricketer Meg Lanning in an elite ODI milestone.

Double delight for Harmanpreet Kaur after win over PAK

Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, Team India walloped Pakistan by 88 runs to maintain their unbeaten run this 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Apart from leading India's dominance, the win also marked Harmanpreet's 90th victory in ODIs as a player, taking her past former Australian skipper and two-time ODI World Cup winner Meg Lanning.

While Harmanpreet Kaur secured her 90th win in 154 ODIs, Meg Lanning registered 89 ODI wins in just 103 matches. The legendary Australian cricketer sustained just 13 ODI defeats in her entire decade-long ODI career, thus signifying the sheer dominance Australia enjoyed during her era, with Lanning's contributions playing a pivotal role in shaping their golden run in women's cricket.

In terms of most ODI wins as a player, former Indian skipper Mithali Raj continues to remain the most decorated individual in women's 50-over history. The ex-Indian batter was part of 129 ODI wins for Team India during her 232-match career. Here is a list of some of the women cricketers who have registered the highest number of ODI wins as a player.
