Kevon Cooper, the Caribbean all-rounder who played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL from 2012 to 2014 season has created history in Legends League Cricket 2024. Copper registered the first0-ever hattrick in the history of the tournament by removing Chris Gayle, Mohammed Kaif and Yashpal Singh on consecutive deliveries. He did not stop there and removed well-set Shikhar Dhawan on the final delivery of the over to make it four wickets in six balls.

Copper got his hattrick in the 11th over of the match and the first one to go was the big man, Chris Gayle. The southpaw was dismissed off a lovely slower delivery and the ball knocked over his off-pole. Gayle departed on 34 and it was a crucial wicket for Konark Suryas Odisha as Dhawan and Gayle were building a solid stand. 

Kevon Cooper's Hattrick Derails Gujarat's Charge

On the next delivery, Mohammed Kaif was cleaned up as the ball sneaked between his bat and pad to destroy his stumps. Yashpal Singh then walked out to the middle to face the hattrick ball, but he too could not tackle the slower delivery and Cooper completed his hattrick in style.

The pressure of hattrick probably got to Shikhar Dhawan at the other end and he ended up giving an easy catch to Yusuf Pathan in the same over. The wicket derailed the early momentum of Gujarat Greats and Cooper has turned back the clock brilliantly with his fantastic spell in the 21st match of LLC 2024.
