'Down With A Fever ....,' David Warner After Beating SRH at their Home Ground

David Warner has been a  legend for SRH over the years but in the game 34 of IPL 2023, he was up against his former team as a skipper of DC wanting to win at any cost to keep his new franchise in the hunt in IPL 2023. His batters failed including him but the bowlers stepped up to deliver a memorable win and Warner was pretty pumped up and pleased after DC's second win in a row.

David Warner who has previously lead Sunrisers Hyderabad to a title win in the 2016 season received a tremendous support from the SRH fans and Warner wasted no time in thanking the crowd after the match. He said that he loves to play at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and thanked the crowd for waiting for him and supporting him. He also mentioned that they had challenges while batting but is happy to get two points.

 "Love it here, it's an amazing crowd. I haven't been here for a long time, thanks for  hanging around. Yeah, thank you all for your support, and for hanging around. My hair can only get white from here and can't get grey. We had challenges with our batters but its good that we can get two points,"

He also applauded Mukesh Kumar for bowling an excellent last over and also credited two spinners and their role in the team. He said that they are experienced players and he just needed to maneuver them well.

"Mukesh has had an excellent last over. The two spinners have been great, they are our rock. These are very experienced bowlers and they can't let you down. You just need to maneuver them well,"

He also talked about Ishant Sharma and said that Ishant was ready from day 1 and kept telling Warner that he is ready to go. He also informed that Ishant was down with a fever for couple of games but applauded the senior bowler for standing up. He said that were confident of defending the total and informed that they spoke before the game that teams have defended low totals at Hyderabad.

"From day 1, he [Ishant Sharma] kept telling me that I am ready, I am ready. unfortunately, he was down with a fever during two games, but credit to him for standing up tall. We spoke before the game that teams have won from here also. Thank you very much, thanks to the crowd too. Cheers."

DC and SRH will now play the reverse-fixture in DC's home ground - Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, 29th of April.
