Richa Ghosh is known for her power-hitting, and in a crucial World Cup game against South Africa, she displayed all of that. The cricketer smashed 94 off just 77 balls when India looked down and out, and it would go down as one of the finest knocks by an Indian batter in the Women's World Cup.

Richa walked out to bat at number eight with India six down for 102, and after a cautious start, started hitting the ball all over the park. The cricketer crossed the 1000-run mark in ODIs as well and is now the third fastest in the Women's cricket in terms of balls faced to cross the landmark.

Richa Ghosh took 1010 balls to cross 1000 runs in Women ODIs, and it is one less than Meg Lanning. The legendary former Australian captain took 1011 balls, and now only Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ash Gardner are ahead of Richa Ghosh.
