Young Indian wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel continues to rise through the ranks in the Indian Premier League (IPL), showcasing his consistency and potential as a crucial player for the Delhi Capitals (DC). 

Abishek Porel IPL Career

Abishek Porel, who made his IPL debut in 2023, has steadily grown in stature within the franchise. Over the course of 24 matches in his IPL career, the left-handed batter has amassed 472 runs at an average of 26.22. 

He has registered two half-centuries, with a personal best of 65 runs. Known for his ability to anchor innings and accelerate when needed, Porel has struck 47 boundaries and cleared the ropes 19 times.

Taking the field for the first time in the IPL, Porel was handed the wicketkeeping duties in the absence of the regular starter. Although his stay at the crease was brief, he made the most of it, scoring a brisk 20 runs off just 11 balls. 

His most recent appearance came in April 2025 against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, where he contributed a solid 33 runs off 25 balls.
