Chicago and LA Waves to cross paths in the first qualifier match of the National Cricket League T10 2024 season. The winner of the match will qualify for the finals while the loser will face the winner of the Eliminator in the second qualifier. The much-awaited contest will be hosted by the University of Texas Dallas (UTD) Cricket Stadium on October 12, and the action will commence from 9:30 PM IST onwards.

Chicago finished the opening round of the NCL T10 2024 season at the top of the six-team points table by securing three wins from five matches. Robin Uthappa and co. maintained a staggering NRR of 1.986 during their successive league stage run. In a bid to qualify for the final, the Chicago team will once again rely on their leading run-scorers, Mikyle Louis and Chris Lynn to come up clutch in the all-important clash. In-form bowlers Simon Harmer and Karthik Gattepalli will also be expected to sustain their prolific run with the ball.

Los Angeles Waves

The LA Waves defeated Chicago in their final league match of the NCL T10 2024 season to secure a top two finish in the points table just before the playoffs. Under the leadership of Shakib Al Hasan, the Waves overall registered three wins from five matches with an NRR of 0.899. Tim David has emerged as the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 195 runs from five innings. His teammates George Munsey and Adam Rossington have also unfurled handy runs for the LA Waves. Tymal Mills and Toss Astle, meanwhile, continue to remain their bowling mainstays.
