Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan, two of India’s most entertaining cricketers both on and off the field, are once again winning the internet with their humour. 

This time, the duo has taken social media by storm with a funny Instagram reel about marriage that fans can’t stop laughing at.

In their latest Instagram reel, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal play a hilarious father-son duo. The video opens with Dhawan saying, “Beta, main tera bhi shaadi karwa dunga, pehle apni kar loon.” 

A surprised Chahal asks, “Papa, are you already married?” The camera then pans out to show a foreign woman standing next to Dhawan. The woman was Sophie Shine, who is reportedly dating Shikhar. The veteran cricketer then quips, “Yeh teri teesri mummy hai!”

Chahal’s reaction, placing his hand on his head and exclaiming, “Teesri mummy”, left fans in splits. Within just an hour, the reel gathered millions of views and thousands of comments, with fans calling it the funniest video of the week.

For those unaware, Shikhar Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee, an Australian-born Indian boxer, in 2012, and the couple have a son named Zoravar. They parted ways in 2023. 

Yuzvendra Chahal, meanwhile, married dancer and influencer Dhanashree Verma in 2020, but their marriage ended in early 2025.

Despite personal setbacks, both Dhawan and Chahal continue to maintain a positive attitude, often using humour to connect with fans. Their funny reels on Instagram are popular and always end up garnering millions of views.

On the field, Yuzi has been out of the Indian team setup for years now. However, he is still playing IPL, domestic and County cricket. Meanwhile, Dhawan retired from international cricket last year.
