From cricket stadiums to red carpets and now to parenthood, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty's love story has been nothing short of a fairytale. They kept it hush-hush at first, let the sparks fly away from the cameras and now, they are soaking in all the love as they embrace their newest role as parents.

The Indian cricketer and the Bollywood actress welcomed their baby girl on March 24 and recently revealed her name: Evaarah, meaning Gift of God. They made the big reveal on April 18, which also happened to be KL Rahul's birthday, with a heartwarming Instagram post.

But before this sweet family moment, came a love story that flew under the radar and bloomed quietly over the years.

It all began back in January 2019, when KL Rahul met Athiya through a mutual friend. One conversation turned into many and before you could say “match made in heaven,” the two were smitten.

They started dating soon after but played it cool; no PDA, no statements, just subtle hints. But fans are always watching. A playful comment by Athiya’s friend, designer Vikram Phadnis, started up dating rumours. His cheeky comment on Athiya’s post: "Let’s go to KL… Kuala Lumpur?" had social media buzzing.

And then came the first photo drop from a New Year’s trip to Thailand in December 2019, which was not loud but just enough to get fans guessing.

Going Insta-Official

Rahul finally made it Insta-official on Athiya Shetty's birthday when he shared a loved-up post that confirmed what most already knew. From there on, their love wasn’t hidden anymore.

Whether it was Athiya travelling with Rahul during overseas tours or the couple showing up for movie screenings and ad campaigns, the chemistry was clear.

After nearly four years of dating, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty tied the knot on January 23, 2023 at her father Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. The three-day affair was intimate, totally different from the usual Bollywood big-fat wedding madness.

Posting their wedding pics, the couple wrote:

“In your light, I learn how to love… With our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”


KL Rahul & Athiya Shetty Become Parents

Fast forward to March 24, 2025, Athiya and KL Rahul became parents to their baby girl, Evaarah. The name, the moment, the photo, everything about their reveal was subtle, elegant and full of love.

And just like that, one of cricket and Bollywood’s most low-key couples hit another milestone and made us believe that real love stories don’t need to shout, they just need to grow.
