Swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, known for his energetic and fun-loving personality, recently melted hearts with a heartwarming moment in Adelaide. During a break from his preparation for the third Test in Brisbane (starting December 14) as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Pant took time to interact with a little girl, and their bonding moment has gone viral.

In the video circulating on social media, the 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batter is seen spending a few playful minutes with the child, who even sat on his lap. Fans were quick to praise Pant’s kind gesture, highlighting his down-to-earth nature. 

Currently representing the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, Pant has been a key figure in Indian cricket. After his recovery from a car accident, he returned to action in IPL 2024 and played a crucial role in India’s T20 World Cup win in the West Indies.

So far, Pant has had mixed performances in the series. He scored 1 and 37 in the Perth Test, and 21 and 28 in the second Test, which India lost heavily to Australia. The series is now tied at 1-1, with three more matches to play. India needs to win these games to secure a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

The third Test will take place at the Gabba in Brisbane, starting December 14. It’s a must-win game for India, as they currently sit third in the WTC standings with 57.21% points, behind South Africa (63.33%) and Australia (60.71%).
