On Tuesday, Pakistan will take on South Africa in the first T20I of the upcoming three-match series at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, the visitors have a spirited lineup that can give the South Africans a run for their money. 

Although Pakistan have several impactful batters in their squad, all eyes will be on Babar Azam, as the veteran batter eyes T20I resurgence on South African soil. The talismanic batter couldn't live up to the expectations in the recently held Australia T20Is and would be desperate to regain his mojo.

Pakistan's former captain Babar Azam currently claims second on the list of most successful T20I batters, having amassed 4192 runs in 119 innings. Interestingly, Babar is only 40 runs away from overtaking India's World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma and becoming the leading run-scorer in T20 Internationals. So, if he has a good outing in Durban, the Lahore-born cricketer has a golden opportunity to script history tonight. 

Most 50-Plus Scores In T20I Internationals

As shown in the above table, Virat Kohli and Babar Azam currently have an equal number of 50-plus scores (39) in T20 Internationals. So, if Babar slams a fifty tonight, he will surpass Kohli to claim the top spot.
