Bowling against seasoned finishers like MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja  in the final over, Yash Dayal showcased remarkable skill and composure to win the game for the Bengaluru based side.  

Yash Dayal spoke about the influence of Virat Kohli on his comeback after a poor 2023 season, which was forgettable for Dayal.


What Kohli said to Yash Dayal ahead of the season?

Virat Kohli drew comparisons with his own experiences to comfort Yash Dayal and boost his confidence, helping him get back to 100% as a bowler.

"When I came in RCB, I remember Virat Kohli bhaiya told me I can tell you the process about how to cope with the criticism as I can correlate with you because these things have happened with me as well, that words from Virat bhaiya helped me a lot," Dayal spoke about Virat Kohli.

Yash Dayal was massacred by Rinku Singh in 2023 with five towering sixes when he bowled the last over for Gujarat Titans against KKR 

Virat Kohli had a similar experience in 2012 when CSK player Albie Morkel scored 28 runs off Kohli when Kohli bowled the 19th over. Kohli managed to come back from that disaster, and now Yash Dayal is following in his footsteps.
