The highly anticipated International Masters League (IML) is set to bowl over cricket fans around the globe as it gears up for a thrilling debut season. Bringing together six legendary captains from cricketing powerhouses, including India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, and West Indies, the T20 franchise tournament promises to relive iconic rivalries while adding a dash of modern T20 excitement.

Tendulkar, Lara, Sangakkara Gear Up to Revive Iconic Rivalries

The league, scheduled from November 17 to December 8, 2024, is packed with action from start to finish, as iconic players lace up their boots once more.

The opening ceremony will take place at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, where the first four games will set the stage for an electric tournament. Fans will see Sachin Tendulkar’s India Masters clash with Kumar Sangakkara’s Sri Lanka in a curtain-raiser on November 17 — a face-off that will rekindle one of cricket’s most cherished rivalries.

Adding to the suspense, Shane Watson’s Australian side will battle Jacques Kallis’ South Africa, while England’s Eoin Morgan will lead his team against Sri Lanka in the following fixtures. Not to be left out, Brian Lara’s West Indies will take on Australia in what promises to be a match filled with Caribbean flair and Australian spirit.


A League of Legends on Tour

From Navi Mumbai, the tournament rolls into Lucknow’s Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on November 21, where India will lock horns with South Africa. Lucknow will play host to six games before the league moves on to Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.

Raipur will see Tendulkar’s India take on Morgan’s England, along with hosting the thrilling semi-finals and the grand finale on December 8.

With 18 games scheduled across these iconic Indian venues, fans will witness the cricketing legends, each bringing back their trademark styles and charisma, battling it out for glory.

With Tendulkar as the ambassador and face of the league, his words summed up the spirit of the tournament:
