SA vs IND | 2nd ODI: India lose quick wickets after solid stand between KL Rahul & Pant

South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi got the side back in the hunt against India in the second ODI of the three-match series in Paarl.

The Indian team rode on an exceptional stand of 115 runs for the third wicket between stand-in skipper KL Rahul and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant to get the side back on track after losing Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick successions.

KL and Pant then steadied the ship and notched up individual fifties during the course. But Rahul's departure for 55 broke the shackles and India lost a couple of more wickets at regular intervals to get reduced to 207/5.

Rahul was undone by Magala after being caught by Van der Dussen while Pant was sent back to the pavilion by Shamsi for a 71-ball 85. The left-handed batsman was caught in the deep by Markram.

Later, Shreyas was trapped in front of the stumps by Shamsi for 11.
