India were pushed on the back foot with a couple of quick wickets in the second ODI against South Africa in Paarl after the introduction of spin bowling.
The openers KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan had begun the proceedings in a steady manner as India batted first. But the run flow was halted as Dhawan was sent back in the hut for 29 off 38 after he was caught by Magala off Aiden Markram.
The visitors then suffered another blow with the departure of Virat Kohli who got out for a five-ball duck leaving India at 64/2 in the 13th over.
Kohli was caught in the covers by Bavuma off Keshav Maharaj.
India are presently trailing the three-match series 0-1 after they were defeated in the first match and loss in this encounter will give the Proteas an unassailable lead.
