Rajasthan Royals slipped to a heartbreaking 11-run defeat against RCB in Bengaluru on Thursday, April 24 in match number 42 of the IPL 2025 season. Chasing 206 for a win, the Rajasthan Royals managed to chart just 194-9 despite racing to 99-1 after the first eight overs of the innings.
The outcome marked Rajasthan’s seventh defeat of the season, fifth in succession, and third successive loss in a run-chase, each of the three slipping away from their grasp after commanding positions. Notably, after the latest defeat to the RCB, Rajasthan Royals CEO Jake Lush-McCrum was spotted walking towards a famous liquor store in Bengaluru.

Rajasthan Royals CEO Jake Lush-McCrum was spotted walking towards a famous Bengaluru liquor store after his team fell to an 11-run defeat against hosts RCB. A fan caught Jake on camera, and jokingly remarked that the Rajasthan Royals official was perhaps going to the liquor store to “drink his worries away”.

Winning the toss and opting to field first, Rajasthan Royals bowlers conceded 205 runs upfront to the RCB, with Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal whacking splendid half-centuries for the hosts.
In response, Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal exploded with a fiery 19-ball 49 to start off the run-chase, despite the early fall of young Vaibhav Suryavanshi. However, after racing to 99-2 in eight overs, the rest of the Royals’ line-up crumbled in front of Josh Hazlewood (4-33) and Krunal Pandya (2-31).
Currently ranked number eight on the IPL 2025 points table, the Rajasthan Royals will now face Gujarat Titans in a must-win game on Monday, April 28. The match will be hosted by the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
