The Indian Premier League is the biggest cricketing carnival globally, and a cricketing carnival is only complete when you have players who can smash it out of the park at will. In the 15th edition of the IPL, we have already seen the ball fly into orbit, and a lot more is still to come.
Liam Livingstone, the swashbuckling English batter, is one of the deadliest strikers of the ball at this point in time, and he displayed his ability with a 117m six in the ongoing edition. But, you will be surprised to know that this humongous hit doesn’t make it into the top longest five sixes in the history of IPL.
Pretty much everyone is aware of the fact that the longest six in the history of the IPL belongs to Albie Morkel, who smoked it 125m long. The South African is built different, and his performances for CSK during his time in IPL reflected it.
But, the man who has hit the second longest six in the history of IPL is an Indian medium pacer, I know it is hard to believe, but the reality is that Praveen Kumar has a 124m long six to his name in the toughest twenty. Can you believe it? With all the power hitters that the IPL has seen over the years, Praveen is the one with a 124-meter colossal hit. I certainly did not, but here is a list of the longest sixes in the history of IPL.
