IPL 2022 | 'We back each other in all conditions'- Avesh Khan on LSG's pace quartet

The Super Giants have one of the best pace attacks in the competition. The international quality of Dushmantha Chameera and Jason Holder and the two young Indian guns in Avesh and Mohsin have created havoc in numerous instances this season. The most recent example is their demolition job of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

On Saturday night, the four pacemen claimed eight wickets between them as they bullied the Kolkata Knight Riders with pace and accuracy to set up a 75-run win for the KL Rahul-led unit.

After the game, Khan spoke to the host broadcaster and opened up about the bond that the pacers share between them.

"We four have a lovely bond," said Avesh as he also revealed how the four pacers share as much knowledge as possible between them and how they always try to help each other out.

"Chameera and Mohsin gave us a very good start today, which reduced the pressure on me. We back each other in all conditions, during the time-outs, and we tell each other what we could be trying out there in the middle," Avesh revealed.

Khan was the pick of the bowlers for LSG on Saturday night as he claimed the prized scalps of Nitish Rana and the dangerous-looking Andre Russell (45 off 19 deliveries) to finish with figures of 3/19 in four overs.

Holder also claimed three wickets while Mohsin and Chameera gave just 20 runs in six overs, besides claiming one wicket each.

Thanks to a comprehensive 75-run win, the Super Giants have now claimed the No.1 spot in the points table, and they will look to solidify it when they take on the second-placed Gujarat Titans on May 10.
