Punjab Kings and Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals will be keen to return to their winning ways when they take on each other in the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League 2022 on April 20 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.  

The Kings have blown hot and cold in the ongoing season of the IPL, winning three and losing as many games. With six points in their account, the Mayank Agarwal-led unit is placed at the seventh spot of the points tally. 

In their most recent encounter, Sunrisers Hyderabad outwitted them as none of their batters except Liam Livingstone (60 off 33) could cross the 30-run mark. 

Their top order, which missed the services of their regular captain Mayank Agarwal against SRH, saw an embarrassing collapse before a small partnership between Shahrukh Khan and Liam Livingstone propelled PBKS to a decent total of 151. In reply, Hyderabad chased down the score with ease, handing Punjab a seven-wicket defeat. 

The Kings have got a good batting lineup, but they haven't performed up to their calibre yet, with Liam Livingstone being the only exception. Jonny Bairstow hasn't looked in good touch as well with Odean Smith also struggling to time the ball. 

Their bowlers, however, have been pretty consistent with Arshdeep Singh leading the pace attack along with Kagiso Rabada. Rahul Chahar has been phenomenal too with Liam Livingstone also providing a couple of good overs of spin bowling. 

Punjab, on paper, looks like one of the most destructive sides of the tournament but it hasn't been reflected in their results so far. They need to excel in both the departments to grab more wins as the competition is heating up.

Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, are coming off a 16-runs defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous game. Dinesh Karthik smashed an unbeaten 66 off only 34 balls as RCB posted 189 for five on the scoreboard after being asked to bat first.

In reply, DC were restricted to 173 for seven after David Warner top-scored with 66 off 38 balls. With two wins from five games, DC is placed at a spot below the Punjab Kings. 

The Rishabh Pant-led side has got a balanced team with David Warner and Prithvi Shaw consistently scoring runs at the top. Rishabh Pant looked in good touch in the last couple of games while Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur have already displayed their finishing abilities. With both IPL teams eager to bag a win, a cracking game of IPL 2022 beckons in Mumbai.
