IPL 2022 | CSK vs SRH | Fantasy Tips

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will look for a strong comeback after MS Dhoni reigning back the control of the defending champions. The Yellove Army will have a big challenge on their hand as they lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Sunrisers have been in good form so far this season, winning five out of their eight games. However, the team’s four-match winning streak came to an end in the last match after the side suffered a close defeat against the table topper Gujarat Titans.

After meticulous planning and consideration, we have a list of names that could give you some great rewards in tonight’s fantasy contest.

Wicketkeeper:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni: MS Dhoni is back in town as the skipper for the Super Kings and will look to register his return with a win. While having Dhoni in a fantasy line-up does not make much sense, with the player batting way down the batting order, his counterpart Nicolas Pooran has been out of form this season, and it would be perilous to bet on the Caribbean player.

Batters:

Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi has been in sublime form for Hyderabad. The player has been sensational with the bat for his franchise scoring 228 runs in his eight appearances with a staggering strike rate of 174,05 this season.

Abhishek Sharma: Abhishek Sharma has been the top scorer for Hyderabad so far into the season, racking up 285 runs in eight games. Sharma will have a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders to provide his franchise with a good start.

Robin Uthappa: The veteran batter has been on and off this season. Other than his 88 runs knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and a 50 runs knock against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the player has struggled for form and will have to get his touch back if CSK wish to make it into the playoffs.

Ambati Rayadu: Ambati Rayadu played a valiant knock of 78 runs in his last game for the Super Kings as the side faced Punjab in a losing effort. The player has been very consistent with the bat and has averaged around 35.14 runs per game.

All Rounders:

Aiden Markram: The South African national has been one of the cornerstones for the Sunrisers in their batting order this season. The player has already scored 246 runs in his six games for the franchise. While the player hasn’t bowled much, his contributions with the bat have been nothing short of terrific.

Ravindra Jadeja: The former CSK skipper had a disappointing run leading the defending champions this season. The player has been relieved of his responsibilities and will look to get back to his ‘Sir Jadeja’ days for the Yellove.

Bowlers:

Umran Malik: The pacer from Jammu and Kashmir has been just outstanding this season, living up to all the expectations. Umran has already picked up fifteen wickets in eight games with an economy rate of 7.97. The pacer has been a nightmare for the batters and could pose a significant challenge for the Super Kings.

T Natarajan: While all the spotlight has been on Umran Malik, T Natarajan has acted as the silent assassin. The Tamil Nadu born bowler has picked up fifteen wickets and is standing side by side alongside Malik, spearheading Sunrisers’ pace bowling attack.

Maheesh Theekshana: Theekshana has faced his ups and downs in his five appearances for the defending champions. The Sri Lankan mystery spinner has eight wickets to his name with an economy rate of 7.75.

Disagreement erupts between PCB and PSL franchises with Pakistan Junior League announcement

Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises have portrayed their will to protest against the Pakistan Junior League (PJL) in an implied way. Three of them have expressed their interest. There are now franchises in the PSL playing on both sides of the wicket after three franchises expressed an interest in purchasing teams in the PJL. Before this, franchises had termed it as a threat to PSL and agreed to record protests, but now it can be comprehended that the owners are not on the same page. On Friday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced it would hold the inaugural season of the junior league in Lahore, from October 1 to 15, where six teams will participate. Recently, PSL launched an advertisement of interest in this regard. The franchises had expressed concern over the event and termed it as detrimental to their tournament performance. They thought that this could eventually lead to difficulties in obtaining sponsorship. Also, the performance of the young cricketers might also be negatively affected. The owners were upset since they were not shown confidence by the board, and they were assured to be informed soon. The team owners and representatives conducted a virtual meeting where they discussed potential issues and brooded over the fact that if other parties come forward and buy teams, it may affect their brand in future substantially. According to , the franchisees themselves are confused. They hinted at recording a protest against the PJL, but on the other hand, at least three expressed their interest. While talking to a correspondent, one of the team officials told the reason for submitting an expression of interest. "We are definitely not happy with the PJL. The reason for submitting an expression of interest is that we do not want other parties to come and buy teams as it can affect us in future. Before PJL, a private league took away two of our sponsors, and it could happen again." "The fact is that the submission of interest does not mean that we are necessarily buying a team. We just wanted to be part of the race. In a hurry, announcements like Pathway Cricket Programme and Junior League have been made to show his importance," an official said. Another team official pointed out that since Ramiz Raja's position as PCB Chairman is in danger after the change of government and the Prime Minister. Therefore, he has been announcing things in a hurry to prove his worth. "What is being said about the Junior League is that there will be a PSL-style draft, but how will the players be divided into categories like Platinum, Gold? We fear that relatives of sponsors and other dignitaries could also be seen playing in the league. No one knows the cost and revenue of the event yet, so this announcement seems like a marketing ploy," he added. Speaking about the number of bids received, he stated, "Only one bid was received for the title sponsorship of PSL, and it would be a great challenge for the board to bring big companies for the PJL." In an expression of interest form available to this correspondent, it has been clarified that the names of the teams will be different from the PSL. PCB has asked parties to reveal the name of the cities they are interested in to obtain franchise rights.
