The Men in Blue posted the highest total of the series so far scoring 265 runs in the first innings of the final ODI against West Indies on Friday, 11 February.
On a pitch which seemed difficult to bat on, India were reduced to 16/2 inside the first four overs losing stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. As India looked to build, a wicket of Shikhar Dhawan dented their progression in the 10th over of the game with India not even reaching 50.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant then put up a big partnership of 110 runs off 124 balls that provided India with a good base for a late onslaught. While Pant got out on 56, Iyer was dismissed owing to a bad shot at 80 in the 38th over.
The last 10 overs bore 75 runs with useful contributions from Washington Sundar and Deepak Chahar and India managed to put on 265 losing all of their wickets in the registered 50 overs.
For the visitors, Jason Holder took four and was the pick of the bowlers. Hayden Walsh Jr and Alzarri Joseph picked two each.
