India had a struggling start to the proceedings in the third ODI against West Indies in Ahmedabad after they were reduced to 42/3 with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in the hut.
Rohit was the first one to depart after he was removed by Alzarri Joseph for 13 while Kohli followed him soon in a span of two deliveries as he was out for a two-ball duck.
Shreyas Iyer who came in to bat at number four then tried to steady the ship along with Dhawan as the right-left batting duo scored 26 runs for the third wicket.
Odean Smith then got into the act and removed Dhawan for 10 off 26 to break the stand. Iyer was joined by Rishabh Pant and the two batters provided the much-needed resistance to the hosts. At the time of writing India were 92/3.
