Have friends from Pakistan team, used to interact with Afridi: Ashok Dinda

Former India fast bowler Ashok Dinda who retired on Tuesday said that he made few friends from the Pakistan cricket team. "I have many friends from the Pakistan team. Mohammad Hafeez knows me really well, we are good friends. Players who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2008 like Salman Butt, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar, everybody knows me. In fact, while playing for India, I used to interact with Shahid Afridi as well,” Dinda told Sportskeeda.

Dinda also talked about the kind of motivation the players have while the two teams face each other on the field.

"It is a different experience, different ball game altogether, different one-on-one contests, going into India-Pakistan matches feel like going to war. No team wants to lose, hence a different motivation seeps into the entire squad."

The right-arm pacer hung his boots from all forms of the game on Tuesday. He represented India in 13 ODIs and 9 T20Is scalping 12 and 17 wickets respectively.

In 116 First-class, Dinda picked up 420 wickets at an average of 28.28 while was a part of 98 List A matches. He had 151 wickets to his name in one day format. Apart from this the right-hander was capped in 147 T20s picking up 151 wickets during the course at an economy of 7.68.

Kane Williamson excited to be part of World Test Championship Final

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson is very excited to be a part of the ICC Test Championship final after they became the first team to qualify for the final after Australia postponed their tour to South Africa. Williamson believes that having the final has added the much-needed context to the red-ball format. New Zealand is through with a win percentage of 70 which can be bettered only by India or England depending upon their results in the upcoming series. However, New Zealand will definitely go through as the 2nd team even if either of India and England wins the series by any margin. It’s exciting to play in the final of the first (World) Test Championship. Adding Test Championship has added context to Test cricket and it has been a really interesting move,” Williamson told Youtube channel Sports Today “I think we have seen that more so in recent months, where sides have made players benefit from opportunities to advance themselves into the final and that’s really exciting,” the Black Caps skipper said. One of the all-time greatest, Williamson has been in red hot form across formats and his appetite to score big runs makes him an integral part of the New Zealand set-up, and his leadership qualities have received plaudits from all quarters. New Zealand in all likelihood will meet either India or England in the final but the chances of Australia going through is also possible. If India wins the series by a 2-1, 3-1, or 4-0 margin, they will compete against New Zealand in the final. England needs to win the series by a 3-0, 4-0, or 3-1 margin. If neither of the team manages to win more than one Test, then only Australia will play the final which looks highly unlikely for now.
