West Indies wicket-keeper batter Denesh Ramdin has announced his retirement from International cricket after a 14-year-long career. The 37-year old had last played for his side in 2019 and subsequently failed to make a comeback in the Windies squad.
The Trinidadian made his Test and ODI cricket debut in July, 2005 against Sri Lanka and India respectively.

Ramdin took to his social media to announce his retirement
“It is with great pleasure that I announce my retirement from international cricket,” he said.
“The past 14 years have been a dream come true. I fulfilled my childhood dreams by playing cricket for Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies. My career afforded me the opportunity to see the world, make friends from different cultures and still be able to appreciate where I came from,” Ramdin concluded.
Although the wicketkeeper-batter will not be a part of the international circuit, he'll continue to play franchise cricket.
Ramdin has amassed 2898 runs in 74 Test matches, 2200 runs in 139 ODIs (two centuries and 8 half centuries), and 636 runs in 71 T20I matches. He also has 181 catches and seven stumpings in his ODI career.
