Young Ollie Pope shines for Surrey with an unbeaten century

In County Championship Division One, Surrey has ended the day’s play with a significant 312/3 on board after being put in to bat. Out-of-favour English middle-order batter Ollie Pope is batting unbeaten on 113. He is well-supported by wicket-keeper Ben Foakes (32*). However, it was not a good outing for skipper Rory Burns who fell to Ian Holland on 21. Ryan Patel and Hashim Amla too chipped in with half-centuries.

Shan Masood scores a double ton on his Derbyshire debut

Pakistan’s Shan Masood has made the headlines as he has notched up a brilliant double century for Derbyshire against Sussex in Division Two of the Championship. He’s still unscathed at the crease on 201 (off 271 balls), batting alongside Wayne Madsen (88*). Masood’s delightful batting was on full display as he struck 22 fours in the day’s play.

Ben Duckett notches up a ton, but Nottinghamshire get bowled out for 302

In reply, Glamorgan began their 1st innings in a fiery fashion and have raced to 33/0 in 5 overs.
