India's assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has revealed that Sanju Samson will get another opportunity to prove himself in the Bangladesh series. Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India have already clinched the series, securing convincing wins in the first two matches.

After swatting aside the visitors by seven wickets, the hosts registered a thumping 86-run win to sustain their purple patch in the series. As the home team eyes a clean sweep, India's assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has opened up on out-of-form batter Sanju Samson's participation in the final dead rubber.

Speaking to the media, the Dutch great reflected on Samson's performance in the series, highlighting his rigorous efforts to succeed with the bat.

"If you look back at the first two games, Sanju, getting a quick start in the first game in Gwalior would have been easy for him to knock it around and get a fifty. But you can see he's trying to push the boundary, and the messaging has been pretty consistent with that," Ryan ten Doeschate said.

He also stated that although India have claimed the series, the management wants to give Samson another chance to prove his worth as a top-order batter.

"We try to expose as many guys as we can to international experience. We want to give Sanju another chance, so there are options, and certainly the plan originally was to win the series, and then try a few new faces for the last game,” he added.

Ten Doeschate Emphasises Multi-Dimensional Players In T20I Setup

The former cricketer also emphasised India's desire to have several multi-dimensional players in the T20I setup. He maintained that the Men in Blue would adopt a rotation policy and figure out the ways to get maximum output from their resources.

"There are guys who can fill multiple roles which are so important for balance depending on where we play. Jitesh (Sharma) and the guys that haven't played, Tilak (Varma) and Harshit, just having them around and seeing how they operate and what strings we need to pull to get the best out of them because they are going to be important in the next 18-month period," he concluded.
