Bangladesh will square off against India in the first T20I of a three-match series at the Gwalior International Stadium on October 6. The Bangla Tigers, are coming into this series on the back of a disappointing performance in the purest format against India and would be looking to bounce back in this T20I series. 

However, the visitors will face a significant challenge as they will be without their star all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan. His absence will demand greater responsibility from other players as they step up to fill the void. 

One of the key returning players is off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who makes his comeback to the T20 squad after a 14-month absence. He could play a crucial role both as a spinner and a potential all-rounder. Veteran Mahmudullah also finds himself at a pivotal point in his career, and this series may define his future in international cricket.

Ahead of the first Test match, Bangladesh may open with Litton Das and young talent Tanzid Hasan Tamim. Litton will be expected to provide a solid foundation, while Tanzid could give the team an aggressive start. At No. 3, the captain Najmul Hossain Shanto will step in to steady the innings.

In the middle order, Towhid Hridoy and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are expected to handle the responsibility. Miraz’s off-spin and all-round ability could help cover the gap left by Shakib. Lower down, Mahmudullah and Parvez Hossain Emon, who has established himself as a finisher, will look to accelerate the innings towards the end.

In the bowling department, Rishad Hossain (leg-spinner) will lead the spin attack. The seam department will be strengthened by the presence of Mustafizur Rahman and he will have left-arm quick Shoriful Islam and right-arm fast-medium bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib alongside him. There is an option of  Taskin Ahmed too, but Bangladesh are likely to go with Shoriful and Tanzim who have been impressive in the shortest format in recent times.
